As a child, The Wizard of Oz was one of my favorite movies. It was actually my first play that I had ever seen. But, I saw 'The Wiz' at The Lyric (I think) with Stephanie Mills played Dorothy!

Anyhoo, today was the 70th Anniversary of "The Wizard of Oz." Netflix hosted a free live concert and movie screening on Tuesday, September 29 in New York's Central Park.

After receiving chicken, he allegedly proceeded to take a bite and then throw the rest in the trash. Meanwhile, the rapper’s beau Amber Rose, stood silent, while other celebrities backstage watched in awe.

I can't believe Amber just sat there and didn't say anything. She sure is showing how much she cares about her man...letting him make a fool out of himself!

Diddy has officially left Atlantic Records as an artist, and moved over to Interscope. At this time, his Bad Boy label is still on Warner Music Group.

I had started some previous business relationships with Jimmy Iovine. We had a great chemistry with each other. When I sat down with Julie [Greenwald, Atlantic COO] and told them that I had an interest to go sign with Jimmy and they didn’t make it rough for me. Lyor [Cohen, WMG Chairman] and Julie were nice enough to let me get my [Bad Boy] name. I was able to take the name over to Interscope and to still in stay in business with them. I am not abandoning any of my artists over there, I still have that imprint. But all my future recordings, including my recording contract, that will be at Interscope Records.”

50 Cent Rushed To The Hospital

In a post that showed up on this website, ThisIs50.com, it was reported that 50 Cent has been hospitalized.

In the "BREAKING NEWS" post, it was reported that 50 collapsed at his Manhattan offices after, get this, he listened to Fat Joe's upcoming album, J.O.S.E. 2.

The fake report continued saying an ambulance was called, and when it arrived, he had regained consciousness, but was still rushed to Mt. Sinai hospital at 4:26 p.m., as he suffered from blurred vision and a severe migraine.

It continued saying doctors' diagnosis concluded that he suffered "some damage to his auditory cortex" -- the "region of the brain that is responsible for processing sound."

The story was followed by a download link to Fat Joe's full album (Here)before it's release with the message: "THIS SUCKS!!! DOWNLOAD AT YOUR OWN RISK."



Since then, Fat Joe has responded to the diss by 50 Cent.

Early Sunday morning word was that Fabolous was involved in a accident and had to be hospitalized. Folks on Twitte even started a Trending Topic (#pray4loso) wishing him well.

Hours later on Twitter, Fabolous (@myfabolouslife) talked about being rushed to the hospital because he thinks he was poisoned.

"Wow! I'm ok everyone..thanks 4 the concern. I was not in a car accident, but I think i know where it started.. Let me explain. I was drivin yesterday morning & started feeling very sick & felt like I was gon pass out while driving.. Nas To Be Named The Next President At Def Jam?

After rumors surfaced that Nas was offered the President spot over at Def Jam, the truth is finally out!

During a recent TVBlog, Nas talks about the offer.

"Yes and no," Nas said about being offered the presidency. "I don't know what's in store for the future. I'm happy to do whatever makes sense. I would love to add on and help hip-hop, I feel Def Jam is a great label for hip-hop music but I feel they could be doing a lot more for hip-hop, that's what it's about. Russell Simmons Not Too Happy About The Hip Hop Honors 2009

The 2009 VH1 Hip Hop Honors that was taped last night in NYC, was supposed to be a tribute to Def Jam-celebrating 25 years!

Not only was LL Cool J, Jay Z, Rihanna, Kanye West not there, BUT it's been rumored that told Russell Simmons–one of the co-founders of Def Jam– sent an email this morning to film maker Nelson George (the Exec. Producer of the show) and to all the heads of Def Jam expressing how disappointed he was in the event.

Russ wrote that he had no interest in this celebration without more L.A. Reid footage (who wasn’t even there) and his contribution. He also stated that he believes not having Jay-Z, Rihanna, Kanye, Dame Dash, LL Cool J, or Irv Gotti involved at all hurt the show. All of those people were indeed missing from last night’s Honors. Russell also expressed his distaste for having a comedian host (Tracey Morgan). He said that having a comedian fill in space “hurt his heart”. And the show overall was “incomplete at best”. (YBF)

Last night, VH1's Hip Hop Honors was taped in NYC! I wasn't able to make it up to the taping, but from watching some of the media folks(@dcgirl627 @missinfo @vibe ) Tweets, I felt like I was there.

The show, which airs October 13th, featured performances by Public Enemy, The Roots, Eminem, Foxy Brown, Mary J Blige & Method Man, Warren G, Trey Songz, Ludacris, Rick Ross and more.

From the pics, It looks as if Jay, Kanye, and LL were absent. How is it gonna be a celebration for Def Jam when some of their BIGGEST artist/the reason they are what they are, weren't there? Big ups to Unle Kevin Liles for going!

A new book about the First Couple's marriage claims Michelle Obama gave her husband the silent treatment at one point during the presidential campaign, and that he had eyes for a young woman working for the campaign.

In "Barack and Michelle: Portrait of an American Marriage" (William Morrow), Christopher Andersen claims brazen women on the campaign trail "pushed their bodies up against his, slipped phone numbers into his pockets" and whispered lewd suggestions in his ear as he traveled across the country running for president.

"On more than one occasion, Barack tried not to look startled when some random woman in the crowd would grasp him firmly by the derriere -- and sometimes try to hold on," Anderson wrote.

The author claims that after an appearance in Peoria, Ill., the future president slid into the back of his SUV, and allegedly said, "Jesus, I wish they'd stop grabbing my ass."

"Michelle, understandably was not amused," Andersen writes. He quotes her as saying, ". . . I want to tell these women, 'Back off. Get a life.' It's just embarrassing, that's all."

Jay-Z was so angry at the residents in his apartment building who objected to his who moving there that he deliberately tries to antagonize them as often as possible.

"My neighbors didn't want me in the building, it was a whole big thing, it was really racist. They didn't want me in so I bought the biggest place there," he told BBC radio's Trevor Nelson. Real Housewives of Atlanta's own Kim Zolciak has more to worry about now than just being 'Tardy For The Party'!



Kim Zolciak is being sued by her music producer, forcing her to remove her new song Tardy for the Party from I-Tunes.

A source tells Radar Online, "This producer Don Vito is suing her for not paying him so she doesn't have the rights." The song had made the Top 10 on the I-Tunes Dance Chart.

Kim's official site was also down, possibly for the same reason.

Maybe she can remix her song to 'Tardy For The Payment'? I'm just sayin...Or maybe the 'Party' is just OVER!

Dash is also launching an Internet radio station called Magnet Radio and he has teamed up with luxury watchmaker Tiret New York to help a new, two-door sport utility vehicle called the Tiret Sport Coupe. The high-end ride was unveiled recently at a watch makers expo in Switzerland.

Ice Cube, 50 Cent, Common and The Game all wanted to take over Mr.T’s role for the big screen version of The A-Team. But when the dust settled none of the four rapper/actors got the role. “B.A. Baracus” will be played by Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. In fact, Jackson’s already on the set (up in Canada) shooting the film.


The A-Team movie follows the same basic concept as the 1980s TV series: war heroes get framed for a crime, escape from military prison and become heroes for hire while trying to clear their names. On TV, the A-Team were Vietnam vets, but in the movie they’re ex-Iraq War soldiers.

Kanye’s outburst last week at the VMAs has caused a huge uproar, but it may have also brought about some unexpected opportunity.

According to reports sent by pro wrestling insiders to MediaTakeOut.com, Vince McMahon and the WWE have offered Kanye close to $10 million to show up at 3 events – two television appearances and one pay-per-view event.

Word is that if he accepts the offer, Kanye would have to do some “light wrestling.” And get this, MediaTakeOut.com is hearing that Kanye is seriously considering it.

Are you kidding me? I mean, really? Just because he yelled at a couple of paparazzi's, went hard with Taylor Swift-they want him to wrestle now? Get outta here! But hell, if they want to give up that paper, 'Ye take it!

Drake's Copyright Issues With Kia Shine Over 'Best I Ever Had'

Trying to figure this damn story out has given me a headache!

Drake's "Best I Ever Had" has come under fire since pictures of Kia Shine winning some BMI Awards for his part of the song.

Kia Shine called into Angela Yee on Shade 45 to clear up the Copyright issues going on between him and Drake.



Since then, Drake has went to his blog to talk about the copyright issue.

"There have been questions posed to me the last few days about the writing of 'Best I Ever Had' and I figured I'd take the time to clear the air directly," he wrote Thursday (September 17) night. "I have never met Kia Shine or worked with him. I wrote the entire composition in Toronto and I borrowed one line from a Lil Wayne song that he produced the BEAT for. The claims of 25% ownership are false and for a artist to brag about splits on a song is distasteful to begin with."

R.I.P To DJ Roc Raida

Over the weekend, we lost another legend from the Music Industry-DJ Roc Raida!

Busta Rhymes via his twitter ,(@BusaBusss), broke the news.

"I am sorry to say that on this day at 2:05, September 19th, we lost another incredible life. DJ Roc Raida die today. My personal DJ is gone," Busta tweeted.

In August, the late DJ (real name: Anthony Williams) was hospitalized as a result of a spinal injury. While reports were sketchy regarding the incident, the hip-hop industry began a campaign wishing the great DJ a speedy recovery.

He was said to be on the road to recovery. However, Roc Raida suffered from complications early Saturday morning and passed. (Ballerstatus)



He is survived by his wife, three lovely daughters, mother and friends.

Da Brat Still Rocking The Crowd Behind Bars

Although she's in an ATL prison, serving a three-year sentence for assault, Da Brat is trying to be productive.

DaBrat is reportedly organizing a talent show for her fellow inmates called "Showtime at Alto," named after the prison, Alto Federal State Prison.

Brat's program will be based on New York City's Showtime at the Apollo series, allowing inmates to showcase their talents to their peers. She's even reached out to her longtime friend, DJ Nabs, to provide the music for the event.

Brat hopes that prison officials will turn her idea into an annual event.

Missed It: Mashonda Shows Up At Swizz Beats 'Suprise' Birthday Party

How did I miss this?

The YBF is reporting that Mashaonda showed up to her soon to be ex-hubby Swizz Beatz’ suprise birthday party at Kush Lounge right after the VMAs. Even though the party was being thrown by his mistress turned official girl Alicia Keys.

Swizz–who turned thirty just 2 weeks ago–and Mashonda have been dogging each other out int he media about this divorce, but it looks like they've made nice somewhat. Apparently the party was a suprise for Swizz, but he found out last minute and invited Mashonda. And suprisingly showed up with Kanye's ex-fiance, Alexis. Here's what a source at the party said went down:

"Swizz invited Mashonda late that night because it was a surprise party. When she walked in, all the family and friends of the former couple greeted hee with their mouths wide open and in shock. They showed her much love. They just seemed so thrilled that all the drama was over."

And far as the Alicia Keys & Mashonda showdown:

"Alicia and her family were in total shock as well. Mashonda danced for a while and had a drink with Estelle and Sean Paul. The beauty of the night was that Mashonda walked over to Swizz and gave him a b-day hug, then shook Alicia’s hand. It was so fly to see Mashonda be such a class act. Did Jay Z & Beyonce Fight After-All?

There was a rumor yesterday that Jay-Z didn't party with Beyonce after the MTV VMAs because the couple had a fight. The rumor started with the picture of Jay-Z with Rihanna after the awards show. Beyonce was nowhere to be seen. Jay-Z has been tight with Kanye for a long time (since well before "Through the Wire") and the rumor said that Jay looked at Beyonce's classy move (giving Taylor Swift the chance to finish her acceptance speech) as her choosing the wrong side. So they got into a fight and didn't go out together after.

"The update is that the couple did not fight, but that Beyonce had to immediately hop a plane to Australia for a show."

I don't know if it's a magic trick, or what but tour dates for Kanye West & Lady Gaga's 'Fame Kills' are dissapearing! Cancelled tour dates mean loosing money and according to Illseed at AllHipHop more lost for 'Ye are on the way.

Illseed has been hearing that "several" of West's corporate sponsors may be pulling their financial support after he ruined Taylor Swift's acceptance speech.

Now for the tour dates, maybe those are 'ye's doing and he wants to really take time off?

I dont know if you remember or not, the last time one headliner of a tour (R. Kelly & Jay Z) cancelled dates, things got ugly and ended up in court! Hmph!

Chris Brown's Hard Labor

Chris Brown began his sentence of 180 days of hard labor today in his hometown of Virginia. He was spotted cleaning up police horse stables this morning as a part of his sentence. He will also have to complete a 52 week domestic violence program.



Yesterday, Chris Brown tweeted a link to a youtube video of “Changed Man” with the caption “Sorry ya’ll, it’s just one of those days”. The video had a montage of pictures featuring he and Rihanna. He then tweeted “My heart is incomplete … The part that is complete is my love for fans, career, friends, family … god. But I’m missing someone or something.”. I guess after everyone assumed he was referring to Rihanna, he deleted the message and replaced it with ” I AINT POSTIN S*** ELSE ABOUT ME(PERSONALLY)…. IM SO OVER ALL THIS BULLS***..“.

Did Kanye West incident cause hip hop couple Jay-Z and Beyonce to get into a spat? Reportedly, Kanye West caused a little spat between Jay-Z and Beyonce after causing an uproar at MTV VMA’s on Sunday.

Supposedly, after Kanye West was asked to apologize for his tantrum onstage in which he interrupted Country music star Taylor Swift, he refused to do so and Jay-Z felt that the executives were not treating Kanye West fair. Instead, Kanye West decided to leave instead of sticking around.

Meanwhile, according to hearsay, Beyonce and father Knowles reportedly cooked something up and came to Taylor Swift’s rescue inorder to let her finish her speech after being interrupted by Kanye West. This is stated to have gotten Jay-Z upset that Beyonce took part in something that could viewed as ‘disrespect to the camp’ and in-turn this made Jay-Z go and club with Rihanna at a few parties throughout the night.
