Word is Beyonce is looking to leverage the box-office success of Obsessed into another staring role -- as "She Hulk" in the upcoming movie The Avengers. According to MediaTakeout-dot-com, B's team is lobbying hard. A source says, "[Beyonce's people] have already had meetings with [Paramount Pictures], it's still early. But so far, it looks promising." The flick is slated to hit theaters in 2012.

A lawsuit accusing bad-girl rapper Foxy Brown of smashing a Brooklyn woman in the head with her Blackberry has been dismissed, her lawyer said yesterday (April 29). Justice Robert Miller in Brooklyn Supreme Court ruled Monday that the rapper, whose real name is Inga Marchand, was never served with legal papers.

Marvel Studios is defending itself against an attack last week by Terrence Howard, who was iced out of reprising his Jim Rhodes role in "Iron Man 2" and replaced by Don Cheadle. Howard said the studio made a "very, very bad choice" by not allowing him to return. But a studio rep told Page Six, "Marvel did not have a contractual obligation to use Mr. Howard. We merely had an option which we chose not to exercise."

Lil Wayne has managed to take the number 12 spot on Time magazine’s “World’s Most Influential Person” list. As Time’s 12th most influential person, Lil Wayne beat out both Barack Obama and Oprah Winfrey who clenched the 37th and 98th spot on the list.Other music artists and innovators to make it onto Time’s list include rapper M.I.A., Prince, the Twitter inventors, and Kanye West.

It’s been no secret that CD sales continue to decline in our current market. While online retailers like iTunes hold a comfortable position in consumer purchases, physical retail stores such as Wal-Mart and Best Buy are attempting to figure out new ways to offset decreased sales. With that said, Best Buy is planning on bringing back vinyl records to their shelves. (Kels Sidebar: Why? Let me know how that works, lol).

R&B star Ashanti will ease on down the road to her first theater role this summer in a New York-staged revival of "The Wiz." The production officially opens June 18. (Kels Sidebar: This was tooooo easy. Now they haven't said what character she will play. I'm assuming the Lion because she definitely has the facial hair.)

Maxwell Is Back!

I won't say I am happy, but some folks are happy as hell that Maxwell has decided to return to the music scene. The R&B crooner hasn't dropped anything for 8 years.

“I’ve been making music for myself. I’ve been looking at the landscape. You know, the industry’s changed so much,” Maxwell acknowledged. “To be totally honest … I felt disenchanted. I felt, in some ways, the industry’s preferential treatment.”


His brand new album, BLACKsummers’ night, which will be released in three discs over three years. The first part of the trilogy drops on July 7.


The first single, Pretty Wings, has already made its way to the radio.

Ciara Wants To Record With Janet

During her recent UK promotional trip, Ciara revealed that she is actively seeking a duet with icon Janet Jackson.

The singer confirmed that a project with Jackson is at the top of her wishlist following the success of 'Love Sex Magic', her recent collaboration with Justin Timberlake.

"My dream is to collaborate with Janet Jackson. She was my big idol growing up," Ciara told the Daily Star.

"JJ is amazing and, no matter what, you can't forget what she has contributed to American music. Janet is truly an icon. She was the only person I listened to as a kid, along with her big bro Michael."

Wayne Sues Producer For Doing The Same Thing He Did

Lil Wayne has filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against a producer reportedly responsible for sampling his song "I Feel Like Dying" without permission.

Weezy filed the lawsuit against a Florida-based company earlier this month.

A lawsuit filed last week by the rapper's lawyers says Rebel Rock Productions Inc., of Coconut Creek, Fla., produced "I Feel Like Dying" and was responsible for obtaining any necessary licensing agreements. Rebel Rock hasn't responded to Lil Wayne's claims and doesn't have a lawyer named in court records. A telephone number listed for the company has been disconnected.

Wayne was originally sued over the track in May 2008.

Tony Yayo & Lloyd Banks Dropped; Rick Ross Offers Label Deal

Maybe Rick Ross does have a heart, or maybe he is just feeling sorry for G-Unit's Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo. Word is that they have been dropped from Interscope.

With his album Deeper Than Rap finally hitting store shelves, Rick Ross has continued his G-Unit taunts, claiming Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo have been dropped from Interscope Records.

Ross addressed his post-battle with G-Unit, while offering to be their boss.

"You asking me do I feel responsible that Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo is dropped from Interscope," Ross said in an interview. "I'm not gonna take full responsibility but I just believe Jimmy Iovine and all the geniuses at Interscope, I think they understand that their career with music is over. As well as 50 Cent's...Everybody telling me I did it, thanks. But honestly, they did it, they did it to themselves...It's sad when you get dropped and you working with [Dr.] Dre...I'ma pull up their BDS, I know their last album, T.O.S. flopped, I think it sold 15,000 copies its first week or something close to that, I'ma pull up their BDS and make an offer...I might get 'em a situation on Haitian Mafia...Interscope won't sign you, Def Jam won't sign you. Pretty much, go to E1 [formely Koch Records] if we offer you something."

Ranting against Interscope last week, New York City deejay Funkmaster Flex also hinted at Banks and Yayo being off the label.

"Let me tell you something Nino, New York I'm talking to a person who makes decisions, who does things up there moving funny style," Flex said on his radio show about an Interscope employee. "Interscope Records, nothin' is spinning...From what I understand, I think Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo arent on that label anymore, it's just 50 Cent. And I think 50's deal is up there. 50, from what I hear, your deal is up at Interscope, we got you. I'd walk out that building after that."

Obsessed Is #1!!!

I can honestly say, I did NOT see this coming. Not with Beyonce, Idris, and Ali going up against Jamie Foxx & Robert Downing Jr's, The Soloist!

Obsessed is #1 in the box office this weekend and becomes the biggest opening ever for a last-week-of-April release, beating previous record holder "Mean Girls" ($24.4M).

It also gives Beyonce the best opening of her career as an above-the-title star, topping 2003's "The Fighting Temptations" ($11.7M) and "Cadillac Records" ($3.4M) from late 2008.

Sony/Screen Gems sent out a Twitter "tweet" on Sunday that said the $28.5 million opening weekend for their Beyonce film "Obsessed" is the second biggest opening in the studio's history.

Rihanna To LAPD "Give Me My Bling"

Rihanna was rocking $1.4 million worth of borrowed jewelry the night of her altercation with Chris Brown, which instantly became police evidence in an ensuing investigation. Almost three months later, Rihanna has yet to get the jewelry back, and she's getting heated.

The 4 jewelry companies that she borrowed the jewelry from are beginning to get pissed off.

Her attorney, Donald Etra, filed a motion Tuesday asking that Los Angeles police and prosecutors return the pair of earrings and three rings that they seized. All were made of "yellow metal" and all but one includes "white stones," according to the filing. Etra argues that photographs of the items will satisfy the needs of attorneys and asks the court "to order the return of the property to (Rihanna) without further delay." The motion states that Brown's attorney and a Los Angeles Police Department detective overseeing the case do not object to the return of the items.

In other Weezy news, he was in court last week in New York as his lawyer asked a judge to re-visit whether a handgun found on Weezy's tour bus can be used as evidence in his weapon-possession trial. The attorney says there's a discrepancy in testimony by the cops who busted Wayne in July 2007. The judge ruled two months ago that the search was legal because the officers had entered the bus after smelling marijuana. A hearing is scheduled for May 20th.

Time To Get 'Obsessed' With Beyonce All Over Again

Obsessed starring Beyonce Knowles, Idris Elba, and Ali Larter is in theaters today. I hosted the 92Q Premiere in Baltimore last night. The movie wasn't bad. I dont know if that is the Beyonce fan in me coming out or not, but I would suggest everyone to check it out for yourself.

This week, B, has been hitting the Talk Shows to promote the new movie, and to talk about the fake audio of her singing that leaked earlier this week.

Dawn & Diddy Get 'Dirty' On Train Ride

I have to admit, I am HIGLY upset with the Finale of Making The Band 4 that came on MTV last nite. I was hosting the premiere of Beyonce's Obsessed last nite in Towson, and rushed home to catch the 11pm showing. When I saw it, I was why? EVERYTHING about the finale pissed me off.

Anyways....Diddy did announce that he would like all of the girls of Danity Kane out of their contract so that they can pursue their own endeavors (who cares, really?). The only one to stay-Dawn. She and Puff have created a new group, Dirty Money.

"I'm in a group called, Dirty Money. It's another girl and Puff and me," Dawn revealed. "Her name is Keelena. She's a writer. She's amazing. She's wrote for every person you could ever imagine and now he's giving her the opportunity. It's not a background [situation] where it's two girls in the back. We're singing on all the joints. It's very different then what you're used to. It's a different thing. You're going to be proud of it."

And with the new group, comes a new look as we see Dawn rocking a new cut.

"You know, that's Puff, that ain't a Dawn decision," she said of her new look. "Puff is about fashion forward, moving forward in fashion and going a different way. Danity Kane was a very different journey and this is a whole new aspect on music so the transition is this. I get to live way bigger, sing bigger, have a different swagger. It's way more fun. It's way looser 'cause that's Puff."

Newcomer Asher Roth Jumps In On "Nappy Headed Hoes", Then Apologizes

Barely getting his feet wet in the music industry, Asher Roth, stirring some drama up via his Twitter.

While attending a Rutgers University event Thursday (April 24) night, Roth made controversial statement, for which he later apologized.

"At Rutgers stirring up a ruckus," Roth wrote unmodified. "Been a day of rest and relaxation, sorry Twitter - hanging out with some nappy headed h*es...Totally just making fun of Don Imus - Sorry Scoot, not trying to be offensive...I'm extremely apologetic to anyone who took offense to my immature, bad joke."

Roth's Twitter page, now features a major gap in-between posted times where the comments were apparently deleted.

All isn't too bad for Roth. Before he dropped his album, Asleep In The Bread Aisle, he got compared to Eminem. In the new XXL magazine, Em speaks on Roth.

"Asher Roth, I haven't had a chance to, like, really get into everything, like, really get into what he's about, because I've only heard a couple songs," Em said in the new issue of XXL Magazine. "There was talk about people saying he sounded like me, and he was doing this and that and, you know, trying to take what I do and do it. You know, sh*t like that. I've heard things. But the stuff that I've heard from him honestly, which certainly isn't enough for me to make my own opinion and say, 'Yeah, he does sound like me' or 'No, he doesn't.' But the couple of songs I've head, I don't really think he does. You know what I mean? He's doing his own thing. I can respect it, too, because at the end of the day, I think he's dope."

Congrats are in order for Jill Scott! She and her fiance welcomed their brand new baby boy into the world yesterday. Jill’s mother Patti says baby “Jack” and his mom are doing well. And Jill went through 2 days of labor!

Baby Jack (how cute–Jack and Jill) was born on the west coast at 4:20 PM yesterday. He’s 7 lbs 8 oz, 20 inches long and I’m sure a ball of cuteness.

Mary J, Taraji Go Off On CSI's Adam R In Atlanta Nightclub

It seems that since MJB and Taraji have been filming Tyler Perry's new movie, “ I Can Do Bad All By Myself” together in Atlanta, they have become BFF's. Over the weekend, thet 2 were partying VIP style at Uptown when a "situation" occured between MJB and Adam R, from, CSI. Dude must have said something sideways to or about Mary, cuz she look like she about to knock the hell out of dude.

But unfortunately, he was not entirely forthcoming about what transpired between MJB and Adam. Despite the apparent tension between MJB and Adam in the pictures, the industry veteran said there was “nothing going on” between MJB and Adam.

Lil Wayne Snatches Day Time TV Slot

Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne has been chosen to appear on ABC's popular television show "The View" next week.

While it has not yet been confirmed whether he will be interviewed, the rapper is scheduled to perform.

The ladies of "The View" will get a special visit from Lil Wayne next week. The Cash Money rapper is scheduled to join co-hosts Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd on ABC's popular talk show on Friday, April 24. He will perform for the first time on the daytime program, which is taped in New York City.

Jermaine Dupri-I Want To Stick My Fist In; Bow Wow-I'll Eat It!

A new video shows So So Def's diminutive franchise artists Jermaine Dupri and Bow Wow in a studio fawning over King Magazine current cover girl- Joe Budden's girlfriend Tahiry (click here to see cover). Dupri's "Living the Life" episode starts with JD clowning on Bow Wow and then shifts to the So So Def founder addressing being called out by blogger Necole Bitchie about his high-profile relationship with Janet Jackson after JD previously said that he wanted to stick his hand up Tahiry's butt. And speaking of Bow Wow, you know you have done something wrong when you BET start taking shots at you. He talked about a time where he needed a haircut and had his people go and find him a barber. But after noticing the barber was gay he told them that he didn't want the haircut anymore. He said he didn't want a gay barber touching his head. I'm guessing either the top of his dome is his hot spot or he seems to think homosexuality is contagious. Isn't it funny that a guy who twirled his neck like a hurricane and flinched his wrist around like it just suffered a stroke during a special with Omarion (you know, that masculine guy) is saying that he's homophobic?

Jay Z Accused Of Skipping Out On Bill

Jay-Z and a couple record label executives are being accused of not paying a $1,500 nightclub bill in New York City prompting the owner to consider pressing charges.

The incident reportedly took place earlier this year.

Jay-Z is said to have enjoyed a night out at the city's M2 hotspot in Chelsea in February 2009 with Atlantic Records executive Michael Kyser and Universal Music Group boss Shawn Costner. M2 manager Dan Develin claims the group was handed a heavily discounted $1,500 bill at the end of the night but left without settling their tab.

Develin claims the club has been trying to get the bill paid for over a period of weeks.

"Jay-Z ordered a bottle of Patron Platinum and some expensive champagne, and everything was going great," he explained. "Jay-Z ended up tipping the waitress $500 and going outside to wait...Before we could get [Kyser] to sign the receipt, he left the club...Of course, we still have his card, so we called up his office, and his assistant told us someone would come by to sign. Weeks went by, and no one ever did. Finally, we got a call from AmEx and were told that Kyser was disputing the charge. When we called him up again, his assistant said, 'Oh, Michael says he doesn't actually remember being there' -- which is crazy because we have his card and photos of him and Jay-Z."

Lil Kim Linked To Scott Storch's Grand Theft Auto

Lil' Kim has been named a key person in Scott Storch's recent arrest on grand theft auto charges with reports of the alleged Bentley being a past gift to her from the producer.

The vehicle, owned by her former boyfriend, was repossessed last April.

News York's CW11 news channel was tipped off April 2008 that a repo man was about to visit Kim, so they sent a camera crew. When the repo man confronted Kim so he could get the keys to her care Kim said she'd have her accountant take care of the problem. The repo service said the car payments are four months behind, so the car is no longer considered her property.
Storch appeared in court last week pleading his innocence.

Storch allegedly leased a Bentley but never returned it after the expiration date. It took the leasing company seven months to find it. He pled not guilty in Broward County Court, Florida last Friday (April 10).

The producer's lawyer, Bradforf M. Cohen, released a statement shortly afterwards regarding the case.

"We are disappointed in the decision to take a civil dispute and file it as a criminal charge," it reads. "There are many facts, that when revealed, will clearly demonstrate that there was no criminal wrong doing on behalf of my client."

Storch is currently in rehab and due back in court Friday, May 29.

Kim has yet to release a statement regarding her involvement.

Jadakiss Celebrates Selling Over 100K, "I Told You So

Jadakiss has expressed his thoughts on selling more than 100,000 copies of his Def Jam debut The Last Kiss, claiming the record label underestimated him.

Along with sharing his thoughts, Kiss revealed how his longevity helped keep him relevant to the public.

"I ain't know what to expect now with the way the game is," Kiss said in an interview. "But I know I got a core fanbase. I don't think Def Jam expected that, so now we gotta get on the same page. I will say that's a great number for the climate and the way the music industry is right now and that's without a big hit at radio...I got longevity, that's why I got legs...It's always good when you can say I told you so. It's always good when you get the last laugh. But I'm just happy to be embraced after all these years, 'cause hip-hop fans' ears change hourly. I'ma be here for a while."

Eminem On T.I. & Weezy "Things Are Looking Alot Better Now"

Eminem has dished out his thoughts on hip-hop's current rap stars Lil Wayne and T.I. citing their emcee skills as beneficial to the genre.

Featured in the June XXL Magazine, Em speaks on his past drug addiction and the impact of Tip and Weezy on the rap game.

"I wasn't ready to give up drugs," Em explained. "I didn't really think I had a problem...I felt like I wanted to pull back, because my drug problem had got so bad. I felt like, maybe if I take a break, maybe this will help. I started to get into the producer role more...I stayed up on the music...and without naming any name, it just felt like hip-hop was going downhill...But with this new T.I. album, with this new Lil Wayne album of recent, it seems like things are looking a lot better now. You can appreciate Lil Wayne using different words to rhyme and actually rhyming words that you know. Or T.I., where you hear sh*t and you're like Whoa, ah, I wish I would have thought of that! You know what I mean? Or you hear all the compound-syllable rhyming and all that. It just seems like now the craft is getting cared about more."

Because of the bad weather, Dr. Dre's security detail got into a car accident, and the rapper was advised not to attend without bodyguards. Eminem's reasoning was slightly more junior-high. "Since Dre couldn't make the concert, Eminem didn't want to perform either," an insider told New York's Daily News. To make it up to his longtime pal, Dre plans on performing at a private club gig for 200 guests next month.

Diddy, Day26, Danity Kane, Donnie Klang To Share Stage On 'Making The Band' Finale

MTV will be airing its season finale in a two-part series which will end the reality television show "Making The Band 4 " on April 23rd at 8pm.


The first part of the finale for season 4 will include Dawn Richard and Aundrea Fimbres dealing with Diddy, and weary to as to whether their careers will continue at Bad Boy Records and what his decisions will be. For Day26, the group will be battling with whether the past fied which happened between Q and Brian Andres will lead to the singer being disbarred. The second part will be a special finale hosted by Sway.

Day26 will perform songs their album entitled "Forever In A Day" released April 14, 2009. The seat grabber of the special will include Danity Kane coming together for the first time since the group split back in 2008.


Bad Boy artist, Donnie Klang, will be there updating fans on his next career move.

In a recent issue of Rolling Stone magazine Lil Wayne provides an anecdote of how he almost died after shooting himself in the chest fifteen years ago.

However, Reporter Ramon Antonio Vargas of the Times Picayune interviewed the New Orleans officer who saved Lil Wayne’s life and provided a more in-depth account of that fateful day in 1994.

Robert Hoobler, 6-Ft 7inches tall and over 300 lbs, was off-duty when he heard the emergency call and drove his squad car to the scene.

According to police records, 12-year-old Dwayne Carter Jr. left school early because it was report card day. He bought a hamburger, fries and soft drink from Burger King on his way home to 3409 Monroe St., Apartment D. He sat on the mattress in the master bedroom and began eating. But he stopped when he noticed a blue-steel Taurus 9 mm handgun.

The pistol had been left there the previous day, by a man who came over to watch a football game.

Little Dwayne picked up the gun and began horsing around with it in front of a stereo blaring music. At about 1:15 p.m., the boy accidentally fired a bullet through his chest. The slug then shot out the lower left corner of a window.

Somehow, it missed every vital organ. But the boy was dying.

Lil Kim Sustains Injury While 'DWTS"

As she continues to move to the next round as a contestant of "Dancing With The Stars," rapper Lil Kim is apparently performing through an injury she sustained during a rehearsal last week.

According to InTouch Weekly, the 33-year-old injured her rib, and braved through her performance on Tuesday (April 7).

"It was fun but a little nerve wracking," Lil Kim told the mag. "I have a small injury, well it's not small, but I popped my rip out earlier this week and ripped one of the muscles under my rib. I didn't know."Kim says she didn't even realize she was hurt until she visited the show's masseuse, who relayed the bad news.

"She said, 'honey you have a rib out, and you tore one of your muscles,' " Kim said. "She had to push it back in and it hurt so bad. I was dancing through the pain."

She's since advised to rest and ice the injury, but according to Kim, there's no time, as she has to prepare for next week's routine."There is no time to relax," she says. "We have to learn the jive and it's really energetic -- what do I do?"

"I'm excited for the dance, but the injury has me a little nervous," Kim continued

While bloggers speculated whether Ross was telling the truth or not, the truth has come to light, thanks to Ballerstatus. It was discovered that Rick Ross did, in fact, get the call he claimed he did. However, the caller was not a 50 Cent employee. Actually, Rick Ross was just another victim of celebrity crank caller Ralphige, who pretended to be a G-Unit Records executive named Nelson Gomez.

Word on the street is that since Fashion Week is over, so is the passion between Kanye West and Amber Rose? Word is that Amber has been complaining to her homegirls that things are getting boring now that the "chase" is over. Apparently, she doesn't like that Kanye used to wake her up and say, "I'm ready to have sex."

And yeah, I could put out an album independently, but without that Def Jam machine, I wouldn't be able to get to a point where I could do the Glow in the Dark Tour."

Lil Wayne Has To Face The Law For "Mrs. Officer"

Wayne has reportedly been sued for copyright infringement by a producer claiming to own the production for the Carter III sigle "Mrs. Officer."

Producer Mali Boy has filed the lawsuit against Weezy in Georgia. Atlanta producer named Michael Bradford aka Mali Boi claims he is the original producer of the track that made "Mrs. Officer" so popular.

The original song "Crush" produced by Mali Boy was for another artist named Sky but somehow ended up in the company of Lil Wayne and producer of "Mrs.Officer" Deezel. Mali Boy claims Deezel remade the track owned by him without permission and has filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Lil Wayne and everybody involved in the song in the US District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

While originally filed in January, Mali Boy claims Weezy's camp has avoided the lawsuit.

T.I. Re-Stacks His "Paper"

T.I. has announced plans to re-release his multi-platinum Paper Trail album as he prepares for his prison sentence by next month.

The rapper-turned-actor will treat fans with new music and possibly new guest appearances.

T.I. said the project will include five additional songs acknowledging he has a number of tracks he's already recorded to choose from including leaked early collaborations with The-Dream and Ciara. He also has a Kanye West verse.

"I'm still in the process of picking the songs," T.I. said in an interview. "But I'm also still recording. I'm able to record any time, through the best of times and through the worst of times, I'm still able to record. It may change the sort of song you do, but you never can tell. You never know until that moment gets there."

Solange Gets Dropped From Label!!!

Following news that Kelly Rowland may have been dropped by Columbia Records -- which was later cleared up, and she remains on the label -- there is some more label drama in the Beyonce/Destiny's Child camp.

It's now rumored that B's younger sister, Solange Knowles, is having her own label issues.
According to a report from AOL's BlackVoices (BV), Solange is no longer with Geffen/Interscope Records, where her last album Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams was released. Apparently, the performance of the project resulted in the label opting not to continue their working relationship together.

Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams drops in August of 2008, and it's since sold around 138,000 copies. BV says the label just "didn't see the value in doing a new CD with her."

Jay Z and Kanye Get Their Own Cologne; B Got Next!

Jay Z, Kanye West and Rihanna have reportedly secured fragrance deals with a company with ties to Jay, and some are whispering that Beyonce will be next.


The deal was made public late Tuesday (April 7) evening.

Jay-Z, Rihanna and Kanye West all got fragrance deals when Iconic Fragrances, LLC (where Jay-Z is a principal) signed an agreement with Parlux. Also part of the contract is the announcement of an upcoming scent with a "well-established female artist." Considering it's Jay-Z's deal and he's married to Beyonce, let's read between the lines on that one.

Products by Ye and Rihanna are likely to hit shelves within two years.

"[We] believe this proactive investment by Jay-Z, Rihanna and Kanye West is an indication to the market place of the underlying value of Parlux," said Chief Executive Neil J. Katz. By securing deals, Katz said the company is doing what it can in a challenging economy and is betting that the celebrity appeal with help boost sales. Parlux plans to roll out the Rihanna and Kanye West products by the summer of 2010.

Rick Ross & Lil Wayne Send "Death" Warning

Rick Ross has announced an upcoming collaboration with Lil Wayne on his 50 Cent diss record "Valley of Death" from Deeper Than Rap.

While avoiding questions as to whether Weezy will offer verbal jabs at Fif, the "Boss" detailed his relationship with the rapper.

"I got a lot of respect and a lot of love, not only for Lil Wayne, but for Cash Money Records," Ross said in an interview. "Those were some of the few dudes that embraced me outside of the music long before the fame and fortune. I always felt it was genuine. Birdman and Slim been coming to Miami for years now...Anytime I called Wayne for anything, whether it's an album cut or remix, he was just there for me. 'Valley of Death,' that concept was just, that's really what it is...everyday I get up and live the life that I live." Ross'

"Valley of Death" song's first verse and music video were recently leaked online.

Rihanna's Father Confused Over Brown's 'Not Guilty' Plea

And I thought it was just me that thought it was odd that Brown plead 'Not Guilty' to the felony charges in the Rihanna incident. Well, it looks like her father is just as confused as I am.

Rihanna's father is trying to figure out why Chris Brown would plead not guilty to charges of beating his daughter when he's said nothing so far to deny it.

"So what happened? Somebody else did this to Rihanna then?" Ronald Fenty told Us Weekly, adding that Brown needs to take responsibility for his actions and "stop being in denial" about injuring his daughter.

"If he's not guilty, who did it? He should say 'guilty' and let the court be leaning into him and try himself to the mercy of the court, see if he gets a fine," Fenty added. "Now he's going to go beyond that and it could go longer, it can be even worse. It can be worse for him in the long run."

On Monday, Brown entered a not guilty plea on both of his felony charges of assault and making criminal threats to Rihanna. The move, according to legal experts, is simply a means to a possible plea deal in the works. But Mr. Fenty believes Brown should own up to his actions.

"I don't want his career to be damaged -- it's damaged already. I think he's a talented guy, but everybody should have to pay," he said. "When you do the crime, you do the time. I don't want to see him locked up for a long time -- I just want him to acknowledge and get some help."

Rihanna's lawyer said she would be pleased "if [the case] were over quickly," TMZ reported. A plea bargain would allow Rihanna to avoid having to testify.

Brown is due back in court on April 29.
