TMZ has obtained a federal tax lien filed last month against Nas for a whopping $2,584,206.31. Looks like Nas didn't pay his taxes in 2006 and 2007. Nas is currently involved in a bitter divorce battle with Kelis. Looks like she'll have to wait in line. (TMZ)

Somethings NEVER Change With DMX; Causes Riot?

Friday night, DMX was scheduled to perform in Colorado Springs. Did it go down without a problem? Hell no!



When X arrived for a benefit concert for American Charities at approximately 11:00 PM he was told by security that he could not take the stage. An infuriated DMX demanded to know why and security told him that he was supposed to have been there by 9:30 and that promoters had already announced that he was not going to appear. An argument escalated into a brawl when DMX tried to force his way into the venue. His entourage and fans jumped into the fray. DMX’s publicist, Pam Pinnock, got trampled and suffered a minor concussion.Eventually, DMX was allowed to take the stage but he complained that the sound system was not working so he did not perform.


J. Baldrick, the head of Dirty Limelight/Hustle Hard Records took to the Internet to defend DMX and blame the incident on the concert promoter, Soulclay Entertainment, which allegedly tried to keep DMX off the stage because they didn’t have his money.

Mase Bum Rushes Diddy?!?

Maybe Mase has gone back to his Murder Mase days and getting gangsta on folks?

Last night, everyone was talking about how Mase rolled up on Diddy (aka Dirty Money) while doing an interview with Ryan Cameron in the ATL, and demanded that he sign the papers to be released.

Basically, Diddy is allowing Mase to appear on songs with other artists. He is not freeing Mase from his contractual obligations to Bad Boy. But this is a start, because Mase already has a big feature in the works, as well as a potential home at Interscope…..which would work out well in terms of those old contractual obligations because Diddy is already over at Interscope as well. "

Alicia Keys has her game face on when it comes to her charity, Keep A Child Alive. Earlier this week while on Regis & Kelly, she hinted of the star studded event that was to go on, and last night, A. Keys owned the night.

Usher, Iman, Halle Berry, Tyler Perry, Mary J Blige, Swizz Beatz-just to name a few attened The 6th Annual Keep A Child Alive Black Ball at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York.

Jay Z Beefing With VH1????

I was trying to give the benefit of doubt as to why Jay Z wasn't at the VH1 Hip Hop Honors Award Show, but now...the truth is coming out!

Egypt reports the scoop:

Tongue’s were wagging when VH1 Hip Hop Honors Awards aired and all of the one time Roc-a-fella artists including Jay-Z were noticeably absent. Rumors circulated that perhaps Jay-Z was still bitter about his departure from Def Jam presidency. But now sources are adding a new twist….

I have a source and that source knows what they are talking about. They are talking about Jay-Z and his relationship to VH1. That source tells me that Jay-Z has a bone to pick with VH1 for some reason or another. They didn’t know the actual reason. But, whatever the reason, Jay-Z refuses to do anything with them. I was under the impression that it was an issue with Def Jam or something, but it is not. Anyway, this scorn caused Jay to basically pull all of his talented cohorts like Kanye, Rihanna and Memphis Bleek! I mean, nobody from Roc-A-Fella was even there! That’s crazy!

Egypt also drops dime that that a little buzzard told her that this year marked the last year of VH1 Hip Hop Honors.

BET 106 & Park Tour Stops In Bmore!

Last night, BET's 106 & Park tour stopped in Baltimore at Sonar. It was supposed to be performances from Day26, Trey Songz, and Mario! Just hours before the show was supposed to go on, I got the call that would upset the fans---the call that Mario would NOT be performing for his hometown. Mario had got sick, and lost his voice!
Either way, the show had to go on! Shouts out to Bmore's own Carmen who was a winner from 'Wild Out Wednesday' and they opened up the show. Sean Garrett performed as well. Now mind you, I missed all of this because I locked my keys in my truck! #EpicFail!

By the time I got into the venue and made my way to the stage, Day26 were performing! Shouts out to The Urban Informer photographer, Joe Maye, for taking the pictures!

Hands down, Trey Songz KILLT his performance! Did all of his song (Black Roses, Say Aagh, LOL, Your Side of The Bed, I Need A Girl, and more)!

Now on the Mario absence, even though he lost his voice, I believe he still should have showed up and allowed his face to be seen. Hell, Que was sick and he still performed. Mario is the homey still, but just saying he had alot of folks upset. Get Well! No Shade!

Suprisingly, only 1 minor thing popped off backstage. It involed Willie of Day26! Willie was minding his own business backstage, and security tried to crack slick. It wasn't Willie's fault. You know how its ALWAYS 1 security guard that tries to OVER do it. Willie stood his ground against the other security guards, and then Day26 Bodyguards stepped in.

My honest opinion, I was BORED with the part of the show that I did see!

Dipset Associate, J.R. Writer Is Alive & Well

No Shade at all. I promise. But for this who know who J.R. Writer is and are fans of his, he is doing okay after a being shot.

"I was in front of the studio I been recording out of for the past three months in the Bronx, when two bum a** n*ggaz stepped to me and a couple of my dudes with guns," he wrote in a statement. "For what? I still have no idea. They wasn't trying to rob nuthin', they looked more like they was going to kill something," he continued. "None of us was strapped, we actually thought we was in a low spot in the BX. On top of that we been coming there for the past three months with no problems working on my album and new mixtape. The shooter looks back and sees me limpin' across the street with my n*gga Plat and starts runnin' towards us like he was going to finish me off till he heard police sirens and ran off. I am doing OK now, just trying to recover. The doctor says I was lucky the shot didn't hit any major artery or bones it went through the back of my thigh and exited through the front. Man, folks are really getting in their feelings about this '09 MTV's Hottest MC's In The Game' list! To be honest, I dont understand why folks are taking it so seriously! Clearly, it can't be taken seriously anytime you leave Eminem off the list this year. NO ONE on that damn list even sold as many albums as he has!

Gucci Mane isn't a fan of Jay Z, appearantly. I don't think its any beef, but Gucci is feeling some type of way about 'The Greatest Rapper Alive'



I soooo don't get Gucci! I mean I get him, but it's NO WAY, I can see myself listening to a whole album of Gucci. Real Talk!

Now if Gucci doesn't agree with Jay coming in at Number 1-cool. I can understand that. Why couldn't he have been like Jadakiss, who in my opinion, should have made the list as well.

Kiss, who appeared on G Unit Radio, didn't diss any of the artist that made the list, but yet just blew it off.

"Yeah you know, I don't really get tied up with that," Kiss explained in an interview. "Everybody who's on that list, I'm on they list. Not to cut you off, I'll tell you what I liked. I liked 50's list, what he put about the n*ggas who made the list on This Is 50 [saying MTV's Top 10 is really them.] That was hard."

This weekend, BET had ATL on-lock for the taping of the 2009 BET Hip Hop Awards! Even though I didn't go, I have nothing to be suprised about because all of the artist, and other media folks were on Twitter giving the details away!

The BET Hip-Hop Awards 2009 took place Saturday night at The Atlanta Civic Center and will air on Tuesday, October 27, at 8 p.m. According to Egyptsaidso, don’t expect to see Kanye West on the show. He was a no-show even though he was nominated for nine awards, including best live performer. Sources say he’s planning to lay low for a while while he prepares to check into alcohol rehab.

Boy Stopppppp! Diddy Lying On Shyne!

When Diddy said he made a phone call or visited Shybe recently, I knew that something didn't seem right!

"It’s a blessing that [Shyne's] coming home. I spoke to him like a couple of weeks ago and he sounded like he was in good spirits. I know he can’t wait to get home. I know he is definitely going to heat the whole scene up. He was definitely one of talented young artists that I had the pleasure to work with. I’m quite sure he’s been using his time wisely and has some heat.”

Still waiting to be released from Immigration to stay in the U.S. or be departed to Belize, Shyne tells Rolling Stone:

"I want it known that this supposed conversation is a figment of Sean Combs’ imagination. He never spoke with me, he never visited me nor would I ever accept a phone call or visit from him. The only way I would do either of those things would be if he stepped up and did the right thing for the victims of the incident.”

As an update, Shyne father has written a letter to New York State Governor Patterson asking him to pardon Shyne so that he is not deported back to Belize.

The Game Needs To Just Pay Up!

We need to compile a list of the rappers that stay in court for being sued, or some other dumb ish they have done! I think between The Game, DMX, and Lil Wayne-they would be fighting for the top spot!

According to reports, The Game is being sued for not paying the lawyers who got him out of doing the 5 year bid in 2007 on gun charges!

TMZ reports:

The Game is in a serious feud with the wrong gang of homies -- the lawyers who saved him from 5 years of hard time. The legal team who repped the rapper in the wake of his 2007 arrest on gun charges claims Game never forked over $34,683.90 in bills for the work they did. In the suit, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, the firm, Kinsella Weitzman Iser Kump & Aldisert, claims they even got the guy "a successful outcome." ... and since Game was facing a potential five-year sentence in state prison ... and only ended up serving eight days ... you'd think he got his money's worth.

Soulja Boy Arrested!

Police say rapper Soulja Boy was charged with obstruction after telling officers that people gathered at an abandoned Georgia house were shooting a music video.

Henry County Police Capt. Jason Bolton said Friday that when officers arrived Wednesday night to investigate complaints, almost half of the 40 people assembled fled by foot. Later, a man identified as DeAndre Cortez Way, Soulja Boy's real name, returned and said the group was shooting a video.

The 19-year-old was charged with obstruction and bonded out of the Henry County jail on Thursday. A telephone call to his publicist was not immediately returned.

The rapper started an Internet dance craze several years ago with the hit "Crank That (Soulja Boy)." More recent hits include "Kiss Me Thru the Phone." (Associated Press)

I was wondering why he haven't seen him in Twitterland for a little while.
