Mary J Blige To Be Guest Judge On 'American Idol'

Mary J. Blige is set to appear as a guest judge on reality television hit "American Idol," joining judges Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi as they evaluate "Idol" hopefuls at auditions in Atlanta.

Blige, who will release her ninth studio album, "Stronger," in November, is the second guest judge joining the show so far this season. Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham taped a guest appearance earlier this summer. (RTTNews)

*straight face* This will be the only American Idol show I've watched since Fantasia won.

Mary J Blige on American Idol sounds absolutely great because she will be doing what she does best. She may not be a technical singer but she can connect with people like no other and I think that the American Idol contestants will be able to appreciate her connection with them while she is on the show.
