Mo'Nique "Floating" After Oscar Nod; Vanity Fair's Prejudice To Blacks

Bmore's own Mo'Nique is definitely on the road to success, especially after the 2010 Oscar nominees that were announced.

Mo'Nique was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in "Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire".

Congratulations also goes out to :

*Lead, Gaboruey Sidibe – who played ‘Precious’ – is up for Best Actress

*The movie’s director Lee Daniels has been nominated for Best Director

‘Precious’ is also up for Best Picture

Now, I would like to know how do you get a nod for Best Actress, and they leave you out of the 'Young Hollywood' edition of Vanity Fair!!!

Vanity Fair know they are soooooo wrong for this. Clearly from the picture, to be considered "Young Hollywood" you have to be a white, skinny, female. Poor Gabbi, Zoe S, and Keke Palmer...not to mention, J-Hud...Hello!!!!

Mo'Nique Is On The Road To The Oscars

Mo’nique has done it again. The full figured diva, (who actually isn’t so full anymore) who was once known strictly as a comedienne, has now officially added a slash to her resume and become a serious Hollywood actress overnight. The comedienne/actress won a SAG Award this weekend for Best Supporting Actress- officially bringing her tally to (about) five and leading many to believe she will eventually walk away with an Oscar for the same category.

Congrats to Mo’nique once again…

Urban Vids: David Banner & 9th Wonder, Gucci, Plies, Ellis & Legin

I haven't taken time to listen to Gucci's album, but I LOVE this song, Lemonade. Here is the video:

What is he really talking about?? *straight face*

Plies is my goon, but he lost me with this 'Medicine' song featuring Keri Hilson. Maybe I should watch the video, and maybe I will feel a little different.

Here is Sade's 'Soldier of Love' video...I still can't get with it.
