Toni opens up more to Wendy about her separation from her husband of eight years and what he thought of the kiss with Songz:

Toni B: I’m a little sad about it. I really don’t like being separated, I enjoyed being married but we are definitely separated. We’re great friends and we have kids together and we still work together, but um, yeah we are separated.

Wendy: But he was there at the Soul Train Awards.

Toni B: Yes.

Wendy: What did he say about that kiss?

Toni B: Actually I talked to him about the kiss before hand because the team and the choreographer suggested it because we were trying to narrate the song. There is a lyric in the song, in the bridge where it says, [Singing] ‘Don’t you want to try again, started with a little kiss…’ So the kiss, you know the girl, you tell the guy it’s over, he’s so yesterday and he kisses you and you kinda get lured back in again. So we were trying to narrate the song. That’s where the kiss came from.




Also, Diddy celebrated his 40th Birthday and the stars were out! From Marthe Stewart, Cassie, Jay Z, a Beyonce-look a like, Nelly, and more came out to celebrate!

Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Sheree Whitfield may not be returning for the show’s third season. That’s the word from MTO, but a rep for Bravo tells us, “No decisions on season three have been made yet.”

Sheree Whitfield is one of the show’s most confrontational players, but according to a blog poll of more than 33-hundred people, 29 percent wanted to see NeNe go, versus 26 percent for Sheree. Kim got 19 percent of the votes, and Lisa got 16 percent. Kandi was the most popular, with just 10 percent wanting her gone.

Jay-Z's North American tour kicks off tonight at Penn State University. Wale joins him on the jaunt, which will make 24 stops at a mix of college campus arenas and traditional venues. The tour wraps up November 22nd in Austin, Texas.


Snoop Dogg guest stars on tonight's episode of the new FOX sitcom Brothers, starring Michael Strahan and Daryl "Chill" Mitchell. Snoop tells AllHipHop.com,

With his debut disc Thank Me Later not due until next year, Drake says he'll likely release a few more mixtapes in the meantime. He tells MTV,

"I'm working every day, and...I get all the requests like, 'Oh, we can't wait to hear you and Jay[-Z] spit together, and we need another mixtape'... Sometimes you have to listen to them and give them what they want. So, that's my goal."

Drake says of his forthcoming debut,

"It's going to be a very interesting record because I'm really going to have to dig deep and tell stories that people can relate to. But it's kind of hard, because my life is at a very different place now."

Urban Quickies: Method Man Turns Himself In For Tax Evasion; Nas Takes On Media

Well, looks like we may have to put some dinero on Clifford's books....and I'm not talking about Clifford Harris (T.I.)!

Clifford Smith, better known as rapper “Method Man,” was arrested on tax evasion charges. Meth surrendered himself to the NYPD Detective Squad of the Richmond County District Attorney’s Office around 8am this morning, District Attorney Danield Donovan, Jr. and New York State Department of Taxation and Finance Acting Commissioner Jamie Woodward announced.

Reportedly, Method Man is alleged to have failed to pay $32,799.00 in personal income taxes dating back to 2004.


Nas recently addressed the media's suggestion that his violent songs encourage teenage violence and said he has no plans to change his lyrical content.



I'm just mad that they were asking him about his damn song lyrics! He was NOT there to talk about that. He was there to talk about his 'open letter' about the Derrion Albert situation!

SOHH is reporting that DTP's own Shawnna has left Ludacris' label, and signed to T-Pain's 'Nappy Boy'!

While performing at an Illinois homecoming event, Pain broke the news to a crowd of fans.

"I decided to do it and I just signed somebody else from Chicago," Pain explained. "But I ain't go nothing else to say. Let's go." Following his statement, Shawnna appeared on the stage as they both performed a quick song together.

But wait! I'm lost! I thought Shawnna and Luda was doing the 'Best of The Sexes' album! Not saying because they are too differently labels that they can't work together. It sounds like something popped off between the two?!?!?

The rapper was allegedly upset over his not being offered food while in the dressing room backstage. After spotting a man eating chicken, West blurted, “Why wasn’t I offered chicken? You want me to perform for free, [and] everyone is eating… why am I not eating?” When the waitress explained that he never asked for food, ‘Ye yelled, “Well, I’m asking now!”. After receiving chicken, he allegedly proceeded to take a bite and then throw the rest in the trash. Meanwhile, the rapper’s beau Amber Rose, stood silent, while other celebrities backstage watched in awe.

I can't believe Amber just sat there and didn't say anything. She sure is showing how much she cares about her man...letting him make a fool out of himself!

Diddy has officially left Atlantic Records as an artist, and moved over to Interscope. At this time, his Bad Boy label is still on Warner Music Group.

I had started some previous business relationships with Jimmy Iovine. We had a great chemistry with each other. When I sat down with Julie [Greenwald, Atlantic COO] and told them that I had an interest to go sign with Jimmy and they didn’t make it rough for me. Lyor [Cohen, WMG Chairman] and Julie were nice enough to let me get my [Bad Boy] name. I was able to take the name over to Interscope and to still in stay in business with them. I am not abandoning any of my artists over there, I still have that imprint. But all my future recordings, including my recording contract, that will be at Interscope Records.”

Damon Dash is getting back into the game by producing an all-star album called BlacRoc. According to HipHopWired.com, Dame has reached out to Ludacris, Jim Jones, Mos Def and Pharoahe Monch for the project which will feature rapping over live tracks laid down by the rock and blues band The Black Keys. Dash is also launching an Internet radio station called Magnet Radio and he has teamed up with luxury watchmaker Tiret New York to help a new, two-door sport utility vehicle called the Tiret Sport Coupe. The high-end ride was unveiled recently at a watch makers expo in Switzerland.

Word is Beyonce is looking to leverage the box-office success of Obsessed into another staring role -- as "She Hulk" in the upcoming movie The Avengers. According to MediaTakeout-dot-com, B's team is lobbying hard. A source says, "[Beyonce's people] have already had meetings with [Paramount Pictures], it's still early. But so far, it looks promising." The flick is slated to hit theaters in 2012.

A lawsuit accusing bad-girl rapper Foxy Brown of smashing a Brooklyn woman in the head with her Blackberry has been dismissed, her lawyer said yesterday (April 29). Justice Robert Miller in Brooklyn Supreme Court ruled Monday that the rapper, whose real name is Inga Marchand, was never served with legal papers.

Marvel Studios is defending itself against an attack last week by Terrence Howard, who was iced out of reprising his Jim Rhodes role in "Iron Man 2" and replaced by Don Cheadle. Howard said the studio made a "very, very bad choice" by not allowing him to return. But a studio rep told Page Six, "Marvel did not have a contractual obligation to use Mr. Howard.
