Lil Wayne Faces Up To 15 Years

A New York City judge ruled that Lil' Wayne must stand trial in April on gun charges. The charges stem from Wayne's arrest last July following a raid on his tour bus following a concert. Police say they raided the bus after noticing a marijuana smell and then saw the rapper trying to stash a 40-caliber handgun under one a seats.

The rapper's lawyers had argued that the charges should have been dropped because police entered and then searched the bus illegally. Lil' Wayne, who is free on 70-thousand-dollars bail, faces up to 15 years behind bars. Jury selection for the trial is expected to being in several weeks.
E! reports that because of his impending trial, Wayne has decided to push back the release of his rock-n-roll album Rebirth from April 7th to May 19th.
