SOME BLOKES MAKE IT RAIN ON LIL WAYNE
I guess everyone isn't a Wayne fan after-all. Mr. F. Baby performed in London recently and some British cats tried to ambush him on stage and jack him for his chains. After the bodyguard strongarmed the dudes, Weezy then said:
‘I want dat nigga’z head on the stage before I leave’.
This in turns causes an uproar and the crowd got crazy and started throwing bottles…

NEW MUSIC: ROCKO 'SELF MADE' REVIEW
Review By: Billboard
Last year, Atlanta's Rodney "Rocko" Hill told Billboard that money was his main incentive when he made the transition from artist development executive/producer to rapper.
Today, riches are a recurrent theme on his debut album, which features head-bopping, neck-jerking production from Drumma Boi (Young Jeezy, Yung Joc) throughout. On the guitar-based "This Morning," Rocko daydreams about Ben Franklins, while on the appropriately titled "Hustlin'," he unabashedly admits his fear of going "back to being broke." The obsession is a bit much on tracks like the drum-heavy "Busy," where he claims to be so occupied making money that he can't even talk or walk. But Rocko comes off less avaricious on a dedication to his mother, "Thugs Need Love Too," with an assist from R&B singer/girlfriend Monica, and on the repentant "Karma," where he most effectively demonstrates his storytelling skills.
Check out Rocko's video for his lead single, "Umma Do Me." Peep This!

NEW MUSIC: FLO-RIDA 'MAIL ON SUNDAY" REVIEW
Flo Rida is, unsurprisingly, from the state denoted by closing the space between the rapper's two-part stage name. Or, you could just refer to the enormous postcard pictorial he has inked across his hulking back.
But don't let his bulked-up, tatted and often-shirtless appearance or innuendo-laced lyrics fool you into thinking he's a straight thug or strictly into dropping booty beats. The guy is essentially a big teddy bear - albeit an obscenely ripped teddy bear of Dr. Dre-like proportions. And he just wants to make a little something for everyone.
"On this album I talk about the happiest of times to the sad times, to the lovable times. You know those times when you just loving your girl, and you know, past relationships, and it's basically just an everyday life album," he told illroots.com of his mainstream debut. "I try to put something on there where it's like the best party you ever had or the worst time you ever had, so you might want to grab a tissue."
But aside from his one-name wordplay, Flo Rida, born Tramar Dillard, doesn't need gimmicks - he's already got clubs, cars and cellphones bumping with his infectious hip-hop tracks - "Low," featuring T-Pain, was one of the most-downloaded iTunes tracks of 2007, and shot to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, with the Timbaland-backed "Elevator" rising quickly behind. And now he's following up his radio-ready singles with en entire album of them.
Mail on Sunday, Flo Rida's debut LP, is a chromed-out collection of hands-in-the-air hip-hop heavy-hitters, backed by Rick Ross, Birdman, Trey Songz, Lil Wayne, and Sean Kingston. To name just a few.

NEW MUSIC: DANITY KANE 'WELCOME TO THE DOLLHOUSE' REVIEW
Review By: Sam (That Grape Juice)
Within the two years that followed the release of Danity Kane's self-titled debut, the group - consistent of Dawn, Audrea, Aubrey, Shannon and D. Woods - amassed a legion of loyal fans and experienced Platinum sales. Yet speculation about rifts between the ladies and management, as well as among themselves, threatened to dissolve the group just as quickly as they were formed. Having ironed out their issues, Danity Kane are back with their sophomore effort 'Welcome To The Dollhouse'. An eclectic Pop/Urban/Dance fusion, with 'Dollhouse' the ladies prove their worth and then some.
The rousing Missy Elliot-assisted 'Bad Girl' lifts the album off to a great start. With its up-tempo, whimsical production - courtesy of Danja - and clever play on the album's title concept ('When the red light comes on I transform'), the track sets the tone for the rest of the record. Elsewhere, the metaphorically steamy 'Striptease', as well the club-destined 'Pretty Boy' (both also produced by Danja) are standouts. The great reception of the album's lead single 'Damaged' also speaks for itself.
Markedly more Pop sounding than their 2006 debut, 'Dollhouse' possess a distinct appeal to a broader audience. The synthpop sounding 'Sucka For Love' - a personal favourite - as well as 'Lights Out' are good examples of this; as are edgy standouts 'Poetry' and 'Is Anybody Listening?'
Despite its many highpoints, 'Dollhouse' isn't without a few shortcomings. The gritty 'Ecstasy', which is somewhat reminiscent to the group's first single 'Show Stopper', could have done without the Rick Ross feature - totally unneeded. 'Street credibility' may have been a reason, yet the end result makes it tempting to hit the skip button. What's more, the Bryan Michael Cox produced '2 of You' suffers from the text-book case of 'awesome production, terrible lyrics' - 'You got me having breakfast in the afternoon' Ok then. 'Ain't Going Nowhere' - a collaboration with fellow 'Making The Band' co-stars Day26 and Donnie- seems out of place on the otherwise very well flowing record.
With 'Welcome To the Dollhouse', Danity Kane, not only deliver a solid collection of sassy, assertive radio-ready hits, the ladies serve up their most cohesive effort yet - highlighting both their artistic growth and uniformity as a group. Indeed, one of the better releases so far this year, 'Dollhouse' sets the group head and shoulders above their competition. The successors to the girl-group thrown vacated by a certain Destiny's Child, perhaps? A long shot, maybe, but Danity Kane are undoubtedly headed in the right direction.
Check out the video for Danity Kane's single, Damaged. Peep This!

KANYE WEST AND FIANCE TIE THE KNOT???
According to MTV UK, rapper Kanye West and fiance Alexis Phifer may have exchanged vows during a recent trip to Europe:
Rumours suggest that rapper/producer Kanye has fulfilled his mother’s final wishes by marrying his longterm girlfriend Alexis Phifer at a secret ceremony in Europe. The rap star proposed to Phifer in 2006 while they were on a romantic holiday in Italy and new reports say that the two have now tied the knot while on vacation in Europe just last month. The rumours could well be true as the Through The Wire singer was keen to get married away from the spotlight of the media as he said in GQ magazine last year, “I’m just going to go and get married, I’m not going to make a big deal out of it.”

MOVE OVER JANET...LET MIMI SHINE!!!!
Due to being struck down with the Flu, Janet Jackson has been forced to cancel her scheduled performance on Saturday Night Live this week (March 15th). In her place will be Def Jam label-mate Mariah Carey, who will give the first televised live performance of 'Touch My Body', as well as 'Migrate' from her forthcoming 'E=MC²' album.
Though word has it Janet will now be hosting the show and performing in May, I can't help but be left with a bit of salty taste in my mouth. Not so much because Mariah is performing so early (after all 'Touch My Body is #16 on the Hot 100 this week), but - put simply - Janet needs all the exposure she can get.

SUSPECT ARRESTED IN T.I. ASSOCIATE MURDER CASE
Ryan Cameron of the Ryan Cameron Show (V-103) broke the news today of arrests in the 2-year-old murder case involving an associate of rapper T.I.
Philant Johnson, T.I.’s best friend and personal assistant, was killed on May 2, 2006 during a rolling shootout on a Cincinnati highway following an altercation at a Cincinnati nightclub.
T.I., Philant and members of T.I.’s entourage were ambushed as they left the club where T.I. made an appearance at a concert afterparty.
According to Ryan, reliable sources close to the case speaking to the Ryan Report on condition of anonymity, said 2 suspects are in custody and a warrant will be served on the alleged triggerman sometime this week.
Sources told the Ryan Report that detectives made an arrest in an unrelated case and new information regarding the old murder case was obtained as a result of that arrest. The motive for the ambush may not have been over money thrown into the crowd during a performance by Yung Joc who was on tour with T.I. at the time.
Sources tell the Ryan Report that a promoter mistakenly believed he had booked T.I. for an afterparty at his club only to find out he had been duped by a person who said they could secure an appearance from T.I.
When the promoter learned that T.I. was at another party he went to the scene with other individuals and waited for T.I. to leave the club. After a brief war of words in the parking lot, the promoter and his crew allegedly followed T.I.’s caravan of vehicles onto the highway where the assailants opened fire on the vehicles carrying T.I. and members of his entourage. Police say T.I.’s security who were licensed to carry weapons, returned fire.
Philant was killed and three other members of T.I.’s entourage were wounded in the shootout. Police say a 25 caliber pistol and a 9mm handgun were used in the shootings. One of the assailants was apparently hit in the exchange of gunfire, but managed to escape detection by crossing state lines to be treated for his gunshot wound.

LIL WAYNE'S LOLLIPOP
Lil Wayne is all over the net. Every since his latest video, "Lollipop," aired on BET this week, his video is the talk of the web. Peep This!
According to several media outlets, Juvenile reportedly did not attend the funeral services of his 4 year old daughter that was killed a week ago. TMZ, citing an unnamed spokesperson for the rapper, reported that he declined to attend because he did not want to attract media to the gathering. But, here is where it gets funky.
I'm hearing from Illseed over at AHH , who heard it from Razzi (LOL) that, Juvenile may not have attended the funeral of his 4 year old daughter, but the rapper actually made it to the Hypnotized Tour in Augusta, GA. Here is the info:The Hypnotized Tour is a 20 City Tour featuring Southern Hip-Hop's best and brightest stars, performances by Plies, Rick Ross, Dream, Pleasure P, Lil' Boosie, Money G and Snook other artists such as Yo Gotti and Juvenile will be joining the tour for special dates. Tickets are $35 and the location is 601 7th Street Augusta, GA. From what I was told, Juve even showed up at the afterparty to sashay with the people.
**I'm feeling some kind of way about this. Juvenile should be ASHAMED.

USHER, STEPPING OUT????
Does Tameka Foster Raymond have any reason to be worried about these pics of BX from Flavor of Love 3 and her husband Usher? I would say she does. They’re looking a bit too cozy in these pics. Most men prefer women of the same body type and features.
Ush, may not did anything this time. But best believe, that number is in his Fav 5!

Houston gospel singer and radio host Yolanda Adams is under investigation by the Internal Revenue Service. The agency has asked a federal judge to force the entertainer to turn over documents after she failed to show up for an appointment last month to explain her financial affairs. The agency is trying to determine her tax liability and how to collect on the debt. According to filings in Houston federal court, the IRS probe stems from two million-dollar mortgage loan applications. A 2005 Ocwen application said Adams earned $40,000 a month and listed $8 million in assets — including an $800,000 trust account, $4.9 million in other personal holdings and jewelry worth $1.5 million. That document said she owned a Lexus and a Hummer. A subsequent Chase home loan application listed $3 million in assets, including a business worth $1.5 million, a Mercedes-Benz and a Range Rover. She owns a home worth more than $2 million in Houston’s Royal Oaks Country Club subdivision.

FANTASIA AND OPRAH BRING 'COLOR PURPLE' BACK TO HOLLYWOOD
(Color Purple Voice)" I guess when Harpo calls, you 'pose to run!" Even though Fantasia said that playing Ms. Celie in 'The Color Purple' on Broadway took alot out of her mentally and emotionally, she will do it again for Oprah.
Oprah tapped to star in the second movie adaptation of 'The Color Purple' following her stint as Celie in the Broadway version of show last year:
“We haven’t started yet because I’m going to work on my album. I think it’s fair that I committed myself, and promised that after I finish going on a tour, I’ll be ready to come back and commit myself to Miss Celie again,” Fantasia explained. “I miss my music”
So impressed with her command of the role, Oprah & Co. are going to wait for Fantasia to be ready before moving ahead with the movie to musical to movie musical adaptation, the singer beamed. “They’re going to work with me. They don’t have to [but] that’s a favor,” Fantasia said.
“Working with someone like Miss Oprah who’s so talented and amazing - It’s a blessing.”

(Sidebar: If you begin to have seizures while watching it, don't blame it on me. I didn't tell you to watch it. I just put it at your disposal, lol).

LIL WAYNE AND LLOYD TRY SOMETHING NEW? NO!
Lloyd recently revealed that he and New Orleans native Lil' Wayne are considering recording an album together.
The two previously joined forces on Lloyd's hit song "You," which helped propel his 2007 album Street Love to certified gold status.
In a recent interview with Rhapsody Lloyd shared news that the two will be joining forces again on his upcoming album, and while they were recording the new song he says the two talked of a possible joint album.
"So I come out the booth," Lloyd told Rhapsody of the studio experience.
"Weezy go in and do about 38 bars. The beat cuts off and he's still rapping. He's just killing it and I'm saying to myself, 'Oh this dude is incredible. I gotta work with this dude for real.' And from there, we started our relationship. We've even talked about doing an album together and calling it Best of Young Worlds."
When reminded that Omarion and Bow Wow recently teamed on a similar concept, Lloyd was careful to distinguish a difference between Face Off and the potential Best of Young Worlds project.
"Lloyd and Lil' Wayne is a different kind of intensity from Bow Wow and Omarion," Lloyd said. "We appeal to a much older crowd, and we a little bit more hardcore with our style. But yeah, we definitely thinking about it."
Lloyd recently released the first single from his as yet untitled new album, "How We Do It In The A," which features Ludacris. Lloyd also mentioned collaborating with Snoop Dogg and Fabolous for another cut off the album, while Nelly joins him on a Polow Da Don-produced track.
A release date for this project has not been set.

LAURYN TO STAR IN MARLEY BIOPIC?
Rita Marley is teaming with the Weinstein Co. for the first-ever biopic of her late husband Bob Marley, and she's already pitching Lauryn Hill to portray her onscreen.
"Lauryn would be ideal. She sees my life as her life." Marley told Reuters of the troubled singer, who is married to Rohan Marley (Bob Marley's son with Janet Hunt).
Rita Marley is executive producing the as-yet-untitled adaptation of her 2004 autobiography "No Woman No Cry: My Life With Bob Marley," a chronicle of the musician's childhood and their tumultuous 15-year marriage through his death from cancer in 1981.
Producer Rudy Langlais ("The Hurricane") says the film will be an "epic romance," including the Marleys' life and the assassination attempt on the couple. "It's miraculous that Rita is still here after being shot in the head," he says.
Rita says her grandson Stefan is "the spitting image" of the singer and would be perfect for the starring role. However, no casting decisions will be made until later this year, says Langlais.
The Weinstein Co. will produce and distribute the work from a screenplay written by Lizzie Borden ("Working Girls"), who is currently in Jamaica completing the script.
Filming is tentatively scheduled to begin early next year with a projected release date of late 2009 - possibly before Martin Scorsese's authorized feature documentary on the performer, set for release on what would be Marley's 65th birthday, Feb. 6, 2010.

PAPOOSE AND FAT JOE CONFIRMS CONFRONTATION
Brooklyn rapper Papoose recently revealed his side of the story concerning his alleged fight with Fat Joe.
As previously reported by SOHH, rumors recently hit the net about an altercation between New York rappers Joey Crack and Papoose. Fat Joe released a video Sunday (March 2) stating that he has never lost a fight since junior high school, and he showed his face, free of any brusises or cuts, contrary to an image of a bruised Joe circulating around the internet.
Attorneys for Joe sent out a letter calling for all web sites to take down the picture, which they say was "altered." In the letter, Joe's reps also contested early reports of the altercation, "You are hereby notified that the story is false," the statement said.
Papoose stands by his story, saying things did get physical. He called into local San Fransisco radio station KMEL 106 yesterday (March 3) and spoke with radio personality Big Von and gave his account of how the fight ensued.
"I'm from Brooklyn, we don't bow down to nobody, we don't take no BS from nobody," Pap said. "Dude came at me sideways and chose to approach me with a bunch of bodyguards and asked me did I have a problem with him. I asked him did he have a problem with me. We got into a scuffle and I did what I did. I put my work in." [Listen here]
"Dude caught a fair one, Fat Joe," he continued. "I told him all my men step outside, my two dudes, I only had two dudes with me, he had like nine or ten with him, and we'll do the one on one. He didn't wanna do that. He refused. So we just got it on like that. I got it on with all them dudes. You can't deny the fact that I put my work in."
When Big Von asked, "Did you tap him?, Pap responded by saying, "Hell yeah. I'm from Brooklyn. That's what we do. I put my work in on the middle of that chin."
Fat Joe confirmed that 50 was the root of the problem, via an interview with Big Tigger on New York's 95.5 radio station on Tuesday (March 4), where he confirmed the fight, but had a much different recollection of what took place.
"The point is this, when you on the radio with 50 Cent, you laughing and he's disrespecting Fat Joe, you in the background heheheing and hahahaing, and your wife is Remy Ma and she's disrespecting Fat Joe on radio and you over there hehehehahaha, and I see you the next day, then I got no choice but you ask you 'Do we got a problem?'," Joe explained. "So, [Papoose] acted like he might've had a problem. So, Tigger, to tell you the truth, I actually felt sorry for the kid after I gave him the beats. So, I had to explain to him why he got the beats, after"
Pap said the fight took place Cassidy's hotel room in North Carolina (both were in town for a concert). When the two actually confronted each other, Pap claims explained that Joe refused to fight him one on one, and for this, he's lost all respect for his fellow New York rapper.
"If you ask a man for a fair one and you can't even grant him a fair one and you outweigh him by 100 pounds? Come on man," Pap explained. "Your whole crew or bodyguards and off duty police seen me ask you for everybody to step out the room and we do this one on one like men. You can never deny that. You should have came like a grown man. You should have came like a G."
Joe denies that claim, stating he was the one who put hands on Pap. He added, though, that the truth is easy to find, naming rappers Gucci Mane, Cassidy, and Yo Gotti, as witnesses if his story needs backing.
Despite the harsh words on both sides, Fat Joe doesn't feel Papoose is his real enemy, clarifying that 50 Cent is what sparked the incident and he's being held responsible.
"50 Cent is the real problem, it ain't even really Papoose," said Joe. "I wish he would just come out of hiding and just say 'Yo Joe, let's fight one on one and we can get over it there.'
"Who gives 50 Cent the authority to disrespect people, and then all these rappers run and tuck they tail. Fat Joe wants to beef, bring it. I'm not that guy," he continued.
Fat Joe is currently preparing the release of his next solo album, Elephant In The Room, which hits stores March 11.
As far as Papoose, the rapper says he's almost finalized a new record deal, which he did not elaborate much on because in his own words "it ain't final until it's final."

DRU HILL RE-UNITING???
From reliable sources, the word is that one of the HOTTEST groups of the '90's are back together. It isn't clear at this time if the reunion includes only the original members (Sisqo, Nokio, Woody, and Jazz) or the newest addition, Ruscola.
If this is true or as details unfold, I will keep you updated!
Dru History: Dru Hill has put out Dru Hill, Enter The Dru, and Dru World Order in 2002-2 years after the original release date.
By 2005, Dru Hill had been released from their Def Soul contract and had disappeared from public view. As of current, Sisqó, Jazz, and Scola have returned to their solo careers as independent artists, while also working on Dru Hill material with Nokio and Woody in the meantime. The group had planned to release a Christmas album independently in late 2007.
Def Soul released a greatest hits compilation, Dru Hill: Hits, on October 11, along with a corresponding DVD collection of the group's music videos.
Let's go back to the group's last hit together, I Love You-Peep This!

LIL KIM, SAY IT AIN'T SO!!!!
Rumors are circulating about lesbo activity between Lil Kim and a popular Philly radio personality by the name of Golden Girl. Let's rewind-Back in 2004, Golden Girl of Philadelphia's Power 99 FM sued rapper Fabolous and his entourage for allegedly assaulting her after the station's annual Powerhouse concert in 2004. Golden Girl, whose real name Lisa Natson, is seeking $85 million in damages, alleging that she was picked up and slammed to the ground by Fabolous' bodyguard in the backstage parking area of the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia. Fast forward to 2008 and Golden Girl is back in the headlines. The radio chick (or is that groupie chick?) is allegedly writing a book about all her experiences in the entertainment business. What leaks out first? A supposed lesbian tryst with Lil' Kim, which is very explicit. "Anyway, there I was, in a position I had never been in, laying in bed with the Queen Bee, ready to eat her *****. We were in some exquisitely designed bedroom, where she was dressed in a thong. We were drinking Cristal, and I couldn't believe I was about to have sex with a chick. I felt a little weird, although I do chix with chix parties, and have a series of chix with chix DVD's. I have seen it in person at clubs, and have been asked by chicks to have it done, but I have never done it, or had it done to me by a chick. But all that shit aside, Lil Kim and I were touching, rubbing, and before I knew it, we were playing in each other's ***** with our fingers. Her a*s was so soft, I kept touching and grabbing it. I'd never felt anybody's a*s as soft as mine, and her t*tties were huge and pretty. Her nipples got hard instantly as I licked all over them. She was rubbing my **** and grabbing my a*s."

REMY MA TRIAL DATE SET
Jury selection in Remy Ma's New York trial will begin next week. A Manhattan state Supreme Court justice has scheduled jury selection for Thursday (March 6). Remy Ma (real name: Remy Smith) is accused with shooting an acquaintance in the abdomen in July 2007 over missing money after leaving a trendy Manhattan nightspot. The dispute was allegedly over $2,000 missing from the 26-year-old rapper's purse. Remy has since pleaded not guilty to assault and related charges and is currently free on $250,000 bail. If convicted, Remy could face up to 25 years in prison.

ADD HIM TO THE PRAYER LIST!!!!
It is no secret by now that Lil Wayne is addicted to Syrup. Here he is elaborating on his addiction which is a combination made up of promethazine and codeine. He also talks about quitting:
"But I'm going through that same sh- with my friends, with my mom. Everybody wants me to stop all this and all that. It ain't that easy. Do your history, do your research. It ain't that easy - feels like death in your stomach when you stop doing that sh-. You gotta learn how to stop, you gotta go through detox. You gotta do all kinds of stuff. Like I said, I'm a selfish-ass n-a. I feel like everything I do is successful and productive. It's gonna be hard to tell me I'm slipping. It's hard to sit and tell a n-a 'Stop.' 'F-, how can we tell this n-a to stop when every f-ing thing he do is successful? This n-a is making progress. He just went and talked to kids and that sh- was amazing.' Feel me? So what am I doing wrong?
"Let me do me. Everybody's got their thing. Why focus on me? Don't compare me to no one. Don't compare me to no one who has passed, and why they passed. I can walk out this b-h right now and get hit by a bus. Don't judge me. You wanna judge me, put on a black gown and get a gavel. Get in line with the rest of them that's about to judge me. I got court dates every other month. It's me against the world - that's how I feel."
