The life of New York Knicks center Eddie Curry took another turn for the worse this weekend, as the mother of his 3-year-old son and her infant daughter were found slain in Chicago, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
Curry’s son was found unharmed, but authorities believe he witnessed the slayings.
Previous media reports indicate that 24-year-old Nova Henry and daughter Ava were found shot to death yesterday at 6 p.m.
One member of Henry’s family, who identified himself only as her uncle told local Chicago station WMAQ that he believed he knows who committed the grizzly slayings. "She had a stalker boyfriend," he told the station. "And she had a restraining order against him and she was trying to avoid all this."
Curry has not issued a statement, but sources close to the NBA player state that he is “distraught” over the unfortunate events.
This event is another in a string of incidents involving the former Chicago Bull.
A lawsuit was recently filed by Curry’s former driver alleging sexual harassment.
In 2007, Curry’s family was robbed and duct taped in their Chicago home. Masked men broke in and took money and jewelry.
