BET Honors Taped This Weekend In D.C.

D.C.’s Warner Theater was packed with stars! Everyone from Mary J Blige, Queen LaTifah, Tarji P Henson, Ryan Leslie, Neyo, Tichina Arnold, Diddy, Trey Songz, Kevin Liles, Mya-just to name a few was theire to celebrate the 3rd Annual BET Honors.

Though I wasn’t in attendance at this year’s event, here is what some of my informants told me went down:

Jennifer Hudson took the stage to salute Whitney Houston by performing Whitney’s “I Will Always Love You.”

Another performer, Jazmine Sullivan, gave her rendition of “Unforgettable” and “Rock Steady” for Queen Latifah.

Mary J. Blige also honoured her mentor and friend, P. Diddy, who received Entrepreneur Award. She delivered a medley of his hit singles such as “I Love You” and “Be Happy”.

Stevie Wonder teamed up with Trey Songz on “I Invented Sex”. Also, they presented their duet performance on “Wake Up Everybody” with a special guest from India.Arie to Teddy Pendergrass.

BET will air its 3rd annual BET Honors on February 1st!

Keys, Latifah, Lil Kim Play Mandela concert

Big names from both entertainment and politics – including Alicia Keys, Queen Latifah and Lil Kim – toasted Nelson Mandela's 91st birthday as part of an all-star concert at Radio City Music Hall.

The tribute, held Saturday night, included a diverse collection of musical collaborations that ranged from pop to disco to gospel, reports The Associated Press.
