Gucci Mane Sent To Jail For One Year

From the looks of it, Gucci Mane will be celebrating his album release, The State vs. Radric Davis, with the state.....the State Pen that is! Burrrrrr! His album cover is PRICELESS!


MTV Reports:

Gucci Mane was sentenced to 12 months in jail on Thursday (November 12) for probation violation and taken away in handcuffs, according to his lawyer.

Mane pleaded guilty to assault in 2005 for attacking a nightclub promoter, and last September, he was sentenced to a year in jail for failing to fulfill his court-ordered 600 hours of community service in that case. He went to jail and served until March. Upon his release, Gucci went straight to the studio and recorded five songs.

The sentence is a blow to Gucci's career. The ATL rapper has an album coming out — The State vs. Radric Davis — on December 8 and is arguably at the height of his career; in terms of his sentence, he may be out of jail in six months. Well Damn!

I'll file this under 'dumb ass rappers' along with Lil Boosie. I know Boosie violated his probation by going to the BET Awards, I can't wait to hear what Gucci did! Stooooopid!

Foxy Brown and DMX must be related because they just can't stay out of jail. 'There's Something About Jail' that they must love. Maybe it's the food? The gear? Not having freedom? I don't know. They keep doing stuff that could jeaopardize their freedom, amd Remy Ma trying to do everything she can to get out!

Anyhoo, Foxy may be on her way back to the 6 by 6.

And it gets worse. Word is that the feds have told Foxy that if she doesn’t pay up –in full - she faces prison time.

Well Foxy … given that your last hit was in 2001 .. and it’s clear you don’t have the 700 stacks. You may wanna get your passport ready.

T.I. To Only Do 60 Days In The Pen???

All I'm going to say is....I Knew It. Tip did too much stuff in the community for them to make him do the 366 days in the pen. Other artist might want to take note.

Grammy-winning rapper Clifford "T.I." Harris will reportedly serve around 60 days behind bars, 305 days less than his original sentence for felony gun charges case.

The reduced sentence was reportedly dolled out as a result of time already served on home detention.

The rapper had faced a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for each charge in his three-count indictment but Harris will be credited for 305 days of home detention he already has served after being charged, so his stay at the Forrest City prison likely will be only two months. R.D. Weeks, a spokesman for the Forest City, Arkansas prison, said Harris likely would be treated like any other prisoner coming into the facility and that each cell at the prison is double-bunked. He also will have the opportunity to use the recreation yard, as well as take part in counseling or participate in the one of the facility's 14 religious groups, Weeks said.

T.I. will serve out his sentence in the Forrest City low-security prison when he turns himself in on May 26.

Now even though he is only doing 2 months, he had a Farewell party in Miami over the weekend.
